These groups run monthly between 09.00am and 11.00am on a Saturday morning on dates approved by Council. Working bees are advertised on Instagram @friendsofvictoriagradens, the Victoria Gardens depot gate in the middle of the garden, and via member email updates.

• Volunteers perform general gardening tasks including weeding, mulching, and planting.
• Council provides all gardening tools; volunteers must bring their own safety equipment like gardening gloves, suitable footwear, clothing (trousers and long sleeves), a hat, sunscreen, water bottle, and wet weather gear.
• Activities at each session are assigned and supervised by a Council gardener.
• Morning Tea is provided at the end of the session.

All financial members of the Friends of Victoria Gardens as well as community members, are eligible to join the working bees. Children under the age of 18 years must be under the supervision of a parent or responsible adult. All new volunteers are introduced to safe working practices using the Council OH&S policy, Volunteer Guidelines and Risk Assessment documents at their first session.
